What is dogging?
Dogging means to watch or follow, to be relentless and indefatigable in pursuit or as if in pursuit ;i.e “impossible to escape the dogging fears”. So why is dogging used to describe watching couples in cars, which is surely more voyeuristic?.The origin of dogging is probably more to do with the phrase ‘walking the dog’, an often used excuse, I was ‘just walking the dog officer’ for example although I would suggest you try having a dog with you if you’re really going to use this excuse
